I developed an interest and began ‘practising’ Yoga as a teenager (using a VHS in my sister’s bedroom). As an adult my home practice continued, but I still hadn’t attended one class. I always skipped the meditation bit at the end of the DVD. In 2009, it was suggested to me that I might benefit from physically going to a class and I fell in love with Yoga all over again. My practice improved from being talked through postures and hands on assistance. I actively participated in the meditation and relaxation I’d always avoided. I learnt so much more. I loved what Yoga and meditation did for my body (inside and out), mind and soul.
I decided I would love to share my passion and knowledge with others. I qualified as a 200hr Yoga Alliance/REPS registered Hatha and Vinyasa Flow teacher. I have taken part in a variety of classes over the years including Hatha, Vinyasa Flow and Scaravelli -all of these experiences influence what I teach in my classes. My classes are generally quite gentle. I place emphasis on stress reduction, mindfulness and self compassion when I am teaching.
